Cuir-Bouilli Fail!!

Cuir Bouilli (boiled leather): I wanted to try this method for hardening leather by boiling and shaping it. Supposed to have been used to make hardened leather armour way back when...

I got some leather scraps and tried it. I think I must need a specific type of leather maybe as it doesn't seem to be stiffening up like I thought it would. Still, I might get some nice leather chokers out of it.

  1. You could make some really cool stuff out of this. I was reading that it was used for making scale armor. It made me think of jackets, skirts and masks.
