My evening project. The lighting isn't great either with or without the flash, but you get the idea. Plan to paint the border over for neatness & resin.

Big, Bad Bunny (a work in progress)

Started my commission of a smoking bunny today. Canvas is 3x4'. I got a lot further than I thought I would, but still far from finished.

Here is my initial layout. Thank goodness for gesso...I had to redo many of the lines til I got the shape of bunny I liked.

















Here you see I have added a course, gritty texturizing medium to the bunny (the grey stuff).

I also used some smooth texturizer on the eyes to help them stand out (all this is yet to be covered in paint once it dries...tomorrow maybe?).

You can faintly see the smoke curls lightly drawn in too.










Background added, filling in around the smoke...still not sure how gonna do the smoke. I'd like to raise it with texturizer, but it is tough to work with.
