My Art is Showing in San Mateo

I currently have an art exhibition in Bean Street Cafe in San Mateo for the next 2 months. Displayed is work I have done in the Manga style, an abstract four-panel piece, and a couple landscapes.

For coffee gourmets, Bean Street Cafe is the ONLY place that I know that offers (when they can get it) the famous, or infamous, Kopi Luwak coffee.

Open Studios Sign

Splat! Is going blue-green...

Still a duck...

Wings

Working on the insides of the wings (the part that will be facing the back when worn). I don't think very much of this will be seen as the wings are angled away from the back only slightly, but I wanted there to be fleathers on both sides.

These are coming along well and I hope to have them done by Open Studios, but I will likely show them in whatever stage anyway.

Finished "Bronze" leaf

Completed and ready to be shown at my Open Studios.

Date: October 10th & 11th
Time: 11:00 am to 6:00 pm
Location: 3002 18th Street, SF, 94110 (off Harrison, at the corner of 18th & Alabama)

Flowers & Vase: progess being made

Just applied some THICK layers that have to dry, so this one's on hold for a little while.

Almost done...no, really.

Here he is once more, the Big, Bad, Smoking Bunny. Really, he is almost done this time (just like he has been for the past 4 months). I just have to finish the eyes.

Can you tell it's a duck?

Trying a new technique here. This is with the paint still wet. We'll see what it looks like later today now that the paint has had a chance to dry.

Splat! Taken in a new direction...

I have re-gesso'd my textured boards...I tried to do warm colors, but I have to face the truth: I like blue better. Besides, I messed up the warm attempt by making the colors too muddy, so I had to start over again anyway.

"Bronze" Leaf

Cast cement with bronzing powder glazed over it in an acrylic medium. The question now...to patina or not to patina?
