This last image is the photo I am working off of. I have finished the underpainting (first image) and am now trying to get the colors right...trial and error...and very frustrating at times. A color I mix looks perfect in one light, then completely off in the photo or in a different light!
1) these are exquisite. did you take these from the window of an airplane?
ReplyDelete2) thats a totally common problem. i don't know a good solution myself. with music, i tend to play a mix on lots of different devices to get a sense of what sounds best for everything. when you're mixing and testing colors, you might want to look at them in daylight, under tungsten, under flouros and through the camera each time. it sounds tedious, but you'll get pretty good at knowing what will hold up in all cases and what to avoid.
